The Berrien County Mathematics and Science Center, a program of Berrien RESA, serves Berrien and Cass counties in southwest Michigan. The mission of the Berrien County Mathematics and Science Center is to enhance the quality of mathematics and science education for all area students.

The Center along with the Berrien RESA Curriculum/Instruction, Instructional Technology, and Professional Development departments, provide professional and student opportunities in mathematics, science and technology. The Center provides services to local school districts in the areas of professional development, curriculum support, student services, leadership, community involvement, and resource materials.

Schools in Berrien County have access to Data Director, a data warehouse application. Services provided for the Berrien County districts are: assistance with data analysis, implementation, support, loading of data, and training.

Most recently the Center has particpated in several Statewide projectws: HSMASS I and II, Back on Track, and Algebra for All.

Center stafff seeks current information on new research and initiatives in mathematics and science education. Information and support services are provided to local districts. Further, the Center partners with the local Regional Educational Media Center (REMC XI) to provide resource materials.
